This pretty stone cottage has been lovingly restored to a high
standard.It enjoys a peaceful setting amongst the sunflower filled fields and wooded farmland on edge of a pretty village, close to all amenities, in Deux-Sèvres, Poitou-Charentes, France's second sunniest region.
"Le Soleil" is situated nearby he friendly owners own house and is South facing.The terrace can be reached from the French windows in the living/dining room. and is the perfect spot for al fresco dining whilst basking in the peace and
beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The Poitou-Charentes region of South West France is located between the valleys of the Loire and Dordogne and enjoys a warm and sunny climate. You can explore hilltop villages and medieval towns, visit Chateaux, ancient Abbeys, relax on the many sandy beaches or simply enjoy a drive or cycle ride through forests and woodlands, along meandering rivers, surrounded by beautiful countryside, sunflower fields and vineyards. "Le Soleil" is located in the centre of the region, famous for its cognac, pineau, oysters, mussels and goats cheeses, within easy reach of the sandy beaches at the old seaport of La Rochelle and Royan, Chataillon le Plage and the lovely islands of Oleron, Aix and Re, some of which are suitable for surfing and water sports. There are various locations for canoeing, kayaking and dinghy sailing on sheltered lakes and along the River Charente and a variety of zoos, leisure parks and other attractions. A perfect holiday choice to entertain the whole family.

Additional information about rental rates
- Payment accepted in sterling or euro cheques.
Short Breaks are only allowed outside of any school holidays, or bookings made within 4 weeks of travel date.
For Confirmation of a Booking, Please send a Non Refundable Deposit 25% of total rental, with the signed booking form.
Balance is required 8 weeks prior to travel date. with a £150 Refundable Security Deposit, which will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure.
All bed linen, duvets, UK pillows, Bedspreads, Bathroom Towels, Kitchen Towels and Tea Towels are included in the price. ( We only use 1st class quality bedlinen and towels).
No Pets allowed (except guide dogs).
Change Over Days Saturday to Saturday in Peak Season, 4pm Arrival and 10am Departure.
For Late bookings and maybe some Mid season bookings, it may be possible to change the days with the owners permission
- The property will be fully cleaned before your visit, and the beds made up ready for your arrival, this is included in the rental costs.
If you require additional cleaning during your stay, this can be arranged at 20e per hour.
Bed linen changed, and/or towels changed during your stay, can also be arranged at a cost, both of these costs are payable on site, just ask for details.

There is a patios close to the house, for alfresco dining..
Large garden mainly laid to rough grass, plenty of garden games, badminton net, 2 bicycles with helmets, Orchard of Fruit trees, Chestnut, walnut and hazelnut trees are dotted around and provide dabbled shade to sit under on those warm days. Lockable entrance gates & parking
